The others looked like they were conflicted. "I assure you, the girls are all beautiful. Judy here is not even the prettiest inside." I promised. Jude hissed at me, but I just tilted my head at the humans. "C'mon. Let's be honest. Do you really think you can compete with the others in there? You are pretty, okay, but they are gorgeous." Joel just pat Jude on the shoulder. "Endure it. This is our mission." Jude forced themselves to relax. "Alright. I need to see the girls in there! I'm going!" the horniest one said as they began to get undressed. The second one said "If they don't look that good, we can just leave." He also began to undress himself. The skeptic sighed. "Fine. If I don't have a girl in my lap within 5 minute, I'm out." he protested before getting naked. I offered to take their clothes. They gave them. Too easy. "Joel, Jethro, Jude. Get them. Some target to convert." The naked guys did not know what hit them. The merkin leapt towards them and began punching them. They were drunk and did not take many hits before they were down. They were then dragged over to the cold, dark water by force.
Weakly, they tried to fight back and struggle. It was no use and they were forced head first into the water of the cove. The merkin were all used to underwater combat. It made them have unnatural amounts of upper body strength to compensate for their total ineptness using their legs. High tide had come in and the level was higher than it had been before. You would have to swim in there to get to the pool I met them in. I was not sure there would even be enough space in the back for me to stand and sit down anymore. It was not a pretty sight. They cried for help, bit, kicked and scratched. Their resistance grew weaker and weaker until they were not able to move. Soon, even the air bubbles from their mouths and noses stopped. That was when the merkin lifted them out and kissed them on the mouth. The drowned men began to glow and they turned into merkin as well. The scales on their tails were white. "One of you can go in and get the others. We have their clothes for them when they dry." It was much easier than I thought. Jude went in the water and his body regained the mermaid's tail.
I was surprised. I thought they were supposed to stay human. "Our month's journey together has ended with the light of the full moon. Our traditions state we have a day for find humans to convert. Once that is done, we can go between forms as we please. However, those of us who are not outcasts return to our tribes and live the rest of our lives in the ocean." Jethro explained. I nodded. Jude returned with Jeremy and Jesse. They were both unconscious. Jude was distraught. "What happened to them!?" Joel snapped. "I don't know! The cave was fully flooded. They probably were not able to swim out in time!" Jude said. Jethro and Joel knew exactly what that had to mean. "Where's Jared?" I asked. Jude ignored me and went back into the cave to look. I went to Jesse. I knew CPR. I began pressing on his chest and trying to clear the water from his lungs. After a coupled of minutes, he began to cough. I jumped from him to Jeremy. I did the same thing for him. "C'mon Jeremy! Wake the fuck up already!" I said as I pumped at his chest. The others were crowding. Jude brought in Jared.
Jeremy began coughing soon after that. I moved to Jared. I worked on him for 10 minutes with no reaction. I slapped him in the face and said "Fuck! Wake up!" I tried mouth to mouth resuscitation every 30 chest compressions I did. Nothing was working I gave it another minute, but I was exhausted. I leaned back and said "I'm too tired guys. I don't think he's coming back." Jeremy pushed me out the way and began beating on his chest with his full fists. "No way am I giving up like this. I won't let him go!" he screamed. The added force and pressure broke a couple of his ribs, but the water was ejected and he was able to breathe again. "Thank god!" I said as I looked up at the sky. I really was glad things worked out. Jude, Joel and Jethro cheered for us. It was a tribal chant full of chirping noises and Jeremy joined in. I let them have this victory. Once Jeremy and Jesse dried off, they got to put on their pick of the 3 outfits that were taken from the partygoers. Now they were able to freely walk around the town to find more humans to convert. They had some trouble with the new clothes they had.
