After the first two periods, and the group session, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. They were informed that talking like this would replace their gym class. Which was probably good considering their situation.

But they were all having troubles they hadn't mentioned. Karyn was finding it hard to concentrate in class, and was fidgiting in her chair all day. The two times she'd been called in, she'd completely blanked on the answer. Zoe actually didn't skip a single class, and answered questions when called on. And Jon was suddenly the teacher's pet in every class.

At the end of the day, the three met up with Mikey and started walking home together. "How was your day?" Jon asked Mikey.

"We had a stupid substitute...and she was teaching us all this simple stuff I already knew...I told her nothing she told us to do mattered, because Miss Warren would be back, and she'd be gone tomorrow."

"Mikey!" Jon scolded.

"And someone has to sign this note."

"You are going to have to apologize to her. It doesn't matter if she was a sub...she was in charge."

Zoe looked over. "You picked a fight with your substitute teacher? Bad move, Mikey...I mean, you got in trouble and she won't even be there tomorrow."

Mikey glared at her. "Just mind your own business," he said, and clammed up.

Jon decided to change the subject. "What does everyone want for dinner?"
