On the same page was a picture of Jon with some other women and their toddlers. There was a Happy Birthday Zoe cake.
"Something is off..." Jon said, frowning.
"What?"
"Little things. Maybe I should flip ahead again,' she remarked, flipping two more pages. It was a picture of little Zoe with another girl, obviously not related. "Who is that with you?"
"I have no clue," Zoe said.
Jon flipped back to the birthday party picture two pages earlier. "That's what's off in this photo. The women there...I think I recognize some of them, even though they are older now."
"Like who?"
"That is Kyla Leeson's mom there. And if that toddler is Kyla...what would she be doing there? Unless..." Another flip back to the It's a Girl notice. "Zoe...look at the year."
"That's the year you were born. Old you. You mean I'm sixteen?"
"If Jon was never born, I guess you came first. That's why things are looking different."
"We need to stop looking at photo albums. I need to go and get my phone," Zoe said.
"What for?"
"To see who I've been texting."
Zoe ran up the stairs and into her room...which was not her room.
