"You know I'll be looking for a way to get even," Jon told her.
Another smile. "You are welcome to try, my friend."
"I'm glad to see you two getting along for once." Another familiar voice said. He turned. It was his mother.
"We are actually quite friendly, Natalie," Georgia said.
"We're doing our scenes today....call me Mom..."
Georgia rolled her eyes a bit, muttering something about method actors. "I suppose you want me to use my American accent around you as well till we wrap?"
"If you could, that would be very helpful, dear."
Jon looked between them, confused.
"Jon, don't slouch like that," 'Natalie' said.
Jon almost automatically sat up straighter.
"Well, we all have to go get ready, so finish up breakfast," she said, heading off.
"What was that about?" Jon asked.
"She's one of those actors who insists on remaining in character on the day of filming. So, she won't answer to anything but Mom or Linda until the end of the day. What am I supposed to do? Hurl expletives at her so she can work on her character development?"
"Zoe has been fighting with her ever since Dad died," he said. It was hard to think of Georgia and Zoe as the same person.
"Ah, yes...Did they decide what exactly happened to him?"
"Cancer," Jon said. "He tried to hide it, until he couldn't anymore. He wanted to see his kids happy for as long as he could."
