Both of them were displeased. "We are your liege clan. You can't say no." 04-002 said. "PBJ is a strong proud Clan. You can't get too tyrannical. You have access to one egg. Let's go get it." I looked at Volt. "Is it in the kitchen like last time?" I asked. "Yeah." Volt said. I walked with them to the lounge where the kitchen was. Both eggs were in an incubator. I looked at it and reached for some tongs. I got it and handed it to 04-001. I then put the tongs away and stood in front of the incubator to get in their way. They understood the gesture. Narrowing my eyes, I said "I think it might be cracked. Let me get the other one for you." I reached for it, but 04-001 held it away from me. "You should get the other egg first." he said. I blinked. "Do you really think you can pull a fast one and take both of them out of here? The humans of the guild won't let you. I'll try stopping you too." I said out loud. They just shrugged. Since they were not cooperating, I was going to not exchange it, but Syrios had followed us a safe distance with Volt. "Oh yeah. Both of them have been cracking a bit recently." he said to us.
I glared at him. "And you guys didn't report it to anyone!? We don't know what's coming out of here!? I could have killed you guys!" I shouted. "Why do you think we're here? The PEP units here reported it." 04-002 said as he shoved me out the way. I shoved him back. "And you guys! Why didn't you just tell me in the car!? 'The eggs are cracking. It's a concerning safety hazard.' Not very hard, is it? I would have been way more urgent and helpful if you didn't make it seem you were going to just study the egg." I snapped at the AEP units. They looked awkward. Volt and Syrios looked shamed. I put my face in my hands and said "God. It's like working with idiots. Let's get these eggs out of here before it starts the apocalypse or something." As soon as I said that there was a large bang in the incubator. I got the tongs and got the egg. It was cracking at an alarming rate. The shell dissolved and a blue liquid began pouring out. I put it on the counter and said "Everyone out." The liquid swirled on the countertop, devouring it and everything else. Once it gained enough mass, it took human form.
The other egg began to crack in 04-001's hands, I snatched it and rolled it into the lounge. I did not want it eating us in order to grow. It did the same thing, only this time, it was a dark brown liquid. When both of the eggs were comfortably standing 11 feet away from us, I pointed at the blue one. It pointed at itself. "Hey. What even are you? Identify yourself." I said. He nodded with a smile. "I am a Symbiote made from the tampered code of an AEP unit. I have no name currently." it said. We just stood there in silence. "I want to name you Blue for now on. Is that okay?" I asked. He thought for a second and then nodded. I named the other one Brown. He liked the name as well. I needed to call them something. The pair of 04-001 and 002 were angry. "What do you mean tampered code. We are near perfect beings. No one can tamper with our code." 04-002 said. "Remember the hacking that Paul did? To make 10-001 lay eggs every day. I think he's talking about that time." I told them. The symbiotes approached the AEP units and Blue said "We can assimilate you and birth more AEP units."
