"That's not something I can give you. One, the genetic material belongs to Volt. Two, they are incubating in the guild building, not here." I said. They looked confused. "Brianne, this is not a request. This is an order. It is imperative we take custody of the eggs. You have to give them to us." 04-001 said. I looked at them and said "I'm not tricking you. You have to go to the guild building and ask Volt. You can search here all you want, it won't be found." They began to drag me off.
I held onto the door frame and said "Nice to meet you, son. Niko, always a pleasure. I love you both. Have fun in the lab and leave when you want." I was going to let the duo take me, but I had to fight against them to get back to the door. I had remembered something. "Don't forget to tell Alexei that you are his sibling and that he can come visit me!" I yelled at them. I did not get to see their reactions. 04-001 and 002 were angry with me. I went with them to the cab depot and I saw they had a sportscar. It was ice blue and white. "Woow!" I said. "Get in. We're going to the guild building." 04-001 said. I got in the back. 04-002 drove. When we got to the guild building, I reminded them of the sensor and that they needed the password. They said they knew it. I told them to let me go in first. I was able to go with no problems. It was a human perk. When they walked in, the alarm sounded, and they were trapped in the bubble. They looked super annoyed with me. I just shrugged. Because the code was 99 digits, it took them time to enter it. When they finished the alarm went away.
Now that it was over, they were able to travel further into the building. I saw that the guild was already here and I told them it was a false alarm. I did not see Volt in the crowd. "We are here for Volt. Where is he?" I said, craning my neck to catch a glimpse of the boy. Syrios pulled him to the front. "Here he is. What do you need?" Syrios volunteered for him. Volt did not look happy to be there. He looked nervous. 04-001 looked at him and said "This is a waste of time. Which one is the human we need!?" I looked at Volt. "04-001 and 002 are here to ask you for something. These are 2 of our bosses." I told him. Volt nodded and looked at them. "We want to study those eggs. It isn't something a human should be playing with." 04-002 said haughtily. Volt said "You can have one. There are 2 of them." The AEP units shared a look. "We don't want an egg, we want the pair of eggs. You need a control for an experiment." 04-001 explained. "You can't have them both. I want one." Volt said. This was an impasse. I looked at the AEPs and said "There you go. Volt is the father. You can only have 1."
