Niko came to our clan building with a weird looking companion. It looked like a weird primordial form AEP unit. They were very androgynous. I looked at Niko and smiled wide. "Hello Niko. Did you get a new member of your clan?" I asked. He looked at me with confusion. "Are you being serious right now!?" he asked me. I just looked back at him just as confused as he was. "...Yeah?" I said in a very non-committal tone. He frowned at me. That was not a good sign. Something was up here. "It figures that a human like you would not recognize their own child." I looked at the guest again. It looked at me and then around the clan building. They did not look impressed with me or interested in what was going on. "Is this from the time that we had sex with you in the X-frame? This is amazing Niko." I said. He tilted his head. "You really get excited about the idea of impregnating me, don't you?" he asked with an accusatory tone. I just shook my head. "Not really. I guess that I just really appreciate you and want to share things with you." He rolled his eyes. "Well. I brought him today to meet you." he said.
He was not aggressive towards me like the others were at first. When I asked them to adopt a human form, they really surprised me. They bulked up into a decidedly male form. He was a twunk with tanned skin, long red hair and the same eye color. They were bigger and less hostile looking now though. He was a total cutie. "He has intact human organs. I don't need to explain his genitals now, do I? One other thing he has is a set of lungs. This requires him to be able to breathe air unlike pure AEP units." I doubted he would be underwater or in space. "I'll name you Shepard." I told them both. When Niko narrowed his eyes, I knew something was up. "I will be keeping him for Re:Birth Clan. You have several full AEP units in your clan already." he said firmly." So, you came here to gloat. That's fine. It was nice meeting you." I said with gritted teeth. He smiled and said "I love how agreeable you are." I shrugged and replied "I do actually care about you and Keith. I wish you would see that." He just looked at me. "I don't think that my pair bond should be just a human." I rolled my eyes.

It was not worth it. "Whatever. Don't push your luck. Your clan is still a long way off." I then leaned over and told him about the guild in a whispered tone. He smiled and asked if it was my turn to gloat. I chuckled. My son looked at me with a small grin of his own. I bet his advanced hearing allowed him to hear me as clear as if I yelled it out loud. "I guess it is." I told Shepard about the AEP lab. He went further down. We were talking for a bit to catch up with each other. He was doing odd jobs around the town. So was Keith. Cold Clan was also using them to do stuff they did not want to handle themselves. An alarm went off 15 minutes into our conversation and a voice said there was a fight in the AEP lab. Niko and I ran to the elevator to get us down there. I hoped that it was just a fluke. That was very unlikely though. I had never heard this alarm before. When we got there, Shepard was pinning down 04-002. That was really not good. I had no clue the Cold Clan AEP was supposed to be visiting. I got there first. "Release him. Now." Niko commanded. Shepard looked at us and then his enemy.

He did not let go. Defending his position, Shepard said "04-002 was berating me for being a 'filthy Halfbreed'. I told him to stop and he challenged me to a fight." I looked at 04-002. The AEP unit did not deny it. "Get your filthy spawnling off of me, Brianne." it said angrily. "Who threw the first punch here?" I asked. Shepard looked away from me. "Let him go, Shepard. Violence is not the answer here. Showing off good work and living well is the best revenge for these types." I said. 04-002 lunged, but he was stopped by another AEP unit. "Let me go 04-001! I need to put him in his place!" 04-001 sighed and said "None of this is worth it. We have work to do now that the clan engineer is here." Looking at the AEP units, there was something glaringly up with them. "Why are you both hard. You don't even have real dicks?" I asked. 04-001 pointed at Shepard. "He came in the lab, swing his like he owns the area. We decided to show him that we could make them too." he said. It seemed that they were both trying to 1 up Shepard. 04-001 was just more subtle about it. Shepard was a good 5 inches.
