X-wombs aside, Niko and Keith were both absolutely glowing with round stomachs. Their pregnancies were doing wonders for them. Nathan walked in and looked at the commotion. He just sighed and took his seat. The PEP unit librarians came in with a human middle-aged man. He was wearing a white dress shirt with a red vest in the breast pocked was a white handkerchief with an insignia. His pants were black like his tie. The doors were locked and both of the librarians sat down at the long table with us. I looked at them and said "Why were we brought here? I don't have all day. Especially when I know you don't trust me enough to see the downstairs." The lead librarian turned to me. "We were not the ones that wanted this talk here. This man did." he said. I just looked at the confident man standing before us. "Let's listen to what he has to say." the other librarian said. I sighed and looked at the well dressed man. He chuckled and said "Thank you for coming all this way to meet with me. I come as a representative of the Libra Force Syndicate." That was certainly really new for the town.
In clear words, he told us what he wanted. There were certain PEP unit agents that were missing in action. They were searching for a place for the cyborgs to prepare for the next stage. Because of all the fighting with Anarchy Assembly, the clan had a positive reputation with Libra Force. He was not clear what that meant. This seemed to be an important quest line. I decided to take it on. I declared "PBJ Clan will make sure we look out for them." "Is there anyway to know when we find an agent?" Niko asked. The man said "They will most likely have our insignia on them. Other than that, I assume that fellow PEP units would have an easier time finding each other." This was like finding a needle in a haystack. The meeting ended soon after. I went back to the clan to tell all of them what happened. They were not concerned about this at all. "There's no way that an agent would just wander into Dwan Town." Alexis said. I thought so myself. I guessed that we could go and look in the larger cities. However, that was something that probably would not advance unless a Player did something here.
Yelling about it was not something that worked on me. I was not going to yell at them either. We could go leisurely over to Neo-Rutten and Volta to see if there were any of them in need of rescue or assistance. I decided to just make a simple party to do something. We had more than enough members in the clan to run the businesses we had and still mobilize somewhere. I was going to take Kendall, Ashton, Riley and Corey. Ryder hurried to get the las spot in the party. I did not mind. We got in a big van and made our way to Volta City. It was up to us to ask the grunts on the street. It was hard to figure out how to get them to talk to us. Some of them needed to be bribed to lead us to someone who could help. It was easy for me to do that. I just gave them some X-wombs and semen replicators. A small cafe on a small street near the industrial district was set up by a couple of mid-tier PEP units. We got that info from them. It seemed to be a neutral space for certain syndicates and scrappers and reprogrammers to trade with bolder PEP units. I gave them full blueprints to the XF-02F.
They looked like I gave them a million dollars. It was unlikely that these grunts would ever be able to build one. However, if they were clever, they could leverage the blueprints to better their station in life. If they found a big PEP unit clan, they could join them if they were coming with a full set of X-frame blueprints. "We need to go over there and flip these blueprints right away. Come with us to the cafe." one of them said. Our group went with them. We had to find leads. When we got to the cafe they went to their own table. It was the end of our mutual usefulness. "We go to the different tables and look for good information. We leave when I leave." I instructed. I went to the counter and bought a cookie. "Thanks for the patronage." the female cyborg at the register said. I walked down over to a table and sat with strangers. They looked at me. There was a PEP unit and a couple of humans. "What brings you here?" one of the humans said. "I'm looking for a deal with Libra Force. The ones that can be talked to don't know how to make anything happen. I want a higher up. Know one?" I asked.
