"Jon! You made me a freak!" Karyn proclaimed, staring at HIS new male body ... which still had big breasts and long blonde hair.
"I'm sorry!" Jon exclaimed. "Maybe there's a way I can fix this!"
"How?" Karyn demanded. "You said wishes can't be undone!"
"I know, but there's got to be some way around it." Jon said, trying to calm himself down and think of something.
"You better come up with something good." Karyn grumbled. "Because I'm out of ideas."
Jon thought for quite a while. An idea came to him. "I've got an idea. I'm not sure you're going to like it, but it's the best I can come up with right now. I can't turn you back into a girl, but at least you won't be a freak."
He held up the stone. "I wish Karyn's long blonde hair and big breasts were really a blonde wig and false breasts glued on with spirit gum."
There was a flash of light, and suddenly Karyn's hair and boobs looked different.
"I think it worked." Karyn said, feeling his breasts. "They ... don't feel real anymore. They feel like something stuck onto my chest. And my hair..."
He raised his hand to his long blonde hair. Sure enough, it came off, revealing the blonde hair to be a wig. Underneath, however, his head was completely bald. "What?!?" Karyn exclaimed.
Jon shrugged. "I thought maybe your original hair would be under it, but I guess the rock interpreted the wish diffently."
Karyn began trying to remove the breasts that were now stuck to his chest with spirit gum.
"Let me help." Jon said. "I wish the spirit gum holding the fake breasts to Karyn's chest would go away."
The stone emitted another flash of light, and the fake boobs fell to the ground.
Karyn just stood there, shirtless. He was now an ordinary looking teenage male, in decent physical condition, with hair on his chest and arms. His head, however, was completely bald.
Karyn sighed. "At least I don't look like a freak, but I'm still a guy, and I'm bald! Now what?"
"Sorry, Karyn." Jon said sincerely. "I can't turn you back into a girl, but maybe I could give you your hair back."
"I don't know." Karyn said dejectedly. "Maybe we should quit now. That rock's already screwed things up enough."
At this point, Steve Farber, from the school football team, passed by. Karyn frantically rushed to pick up his shirt ... which he realized was still a girl's shirt. Jon's wish was for Karyn to have a male body. It had said nothing about the clothes.
"Ha!" Steve laughed. "Look at you, Kevin! I told you I'd win our little bet!"
"What are you talking about?" Karyn demanded of Steve.
"The bet we made! Over whether I'd get Sarah McMillan to go out with me! She did, so I won." Steve said with a smile. "Good thing she did, too. Otherwise, I'd be the guy making a fool of himself dressing up as a girl."
Jon and Karyn exchanged glances. They knew right away what had happened. As far as everyone besides Jon and Karyn were concerned, Karyn had always been a guy. A guy named Kevin. Who apparently had dressed up in girl's clothes, a blonde wig, and fake breasts because he lost a bet with Steve Farber.
"Believe me, Kevin. You look ridiculous dressed up as a girl. That's what makes it so funny." Steve laughed.
"Ha ha. Very funny." Karyn, or Kevin, replied.
Steve smiled. "You should know better than to make bets with me, because I always win. You're still shaving your head? Good, cause you still have three more days before you can let your hair grow back."
Jon interrupted. "How many bets has Kar... I mean Kevin, made with you, anyway?"
"Just two." Steve said with a smug smile. "He should be glad he's not betting money, the way things are going for him now. See you tomorrow, sucker." With that, Steve triumphantly walked down the road.
The former Karyn turned to Jon. "I don't know the whole story behind what's going on, but I'd like to wipe the smug expression off his face."
Jon sighed. "Karyn ... should I call you Kevin now?"
"Yeah, you might as well. Anyway, I don't remember making those two bets with him, but I'd still like to get even with him. I know, it doesn't make any sense, but I'd like for him to be the one who gets embarassed some time. Maybe make another bet, and this time I'd win." Kevin replied.
"We can talk about it some more in the morning." Jon said. "I think we both need to adjust to what's going on, so we can figure out our next move."
Kevin nodded. "Yeah, I need to go home and find out just what else might be different about my life now."
Jon and Kevin then walked to their homes, both wondering just what the next day would bring...
