Axel and Alexia were twins that liked to do everything together. They got straight B's through high school. Luckily, they were able to get scholarships. Volleyball was a big sport in their school. It was something that appealed to both of them. When they got to college, they got through their classes and practices. Because neither of the, had any real direction on what they wanted to study, they used up their Freshman year and burned all their general studies courses that they were required to take. When word got out about their university's new administration, they decided to stay. It was not like their average grades would allow them to transfer to anywhere better. Being able to have access to an Immersion Pass for free was also an interesting idea. Staying on campus simply had too many upsides for them. It was also their Sophomore year. They had to decide what to study for their major. As they were looking through the expanded programs on offer, they found that there was a newly formed Zoology department. Both twins liked animals. Reptiles in particular. They chose that for their major.
For a minor, they decided to go for Applied Mathematics. The staff and faculty were still working from home while the campus was going through its restructuring. They were able to get this through a simple chain of emails and a phone call. With that out of the way, they just had to wait. An email came back to them a week out from the head of the department. They were offering several options for the Zoology Department on offer for the students. He gave them a list. There was veterinary science, avian biology, marine biology, herpetology. Since they wanted to know more about herpetology, they chose that one. The director replied almost immediately. "I think I have just the thing for your Immersion Pass. You'll be able to get hands on experience with your studies." he wrote. The twins did not think much on it at the time. The day soon arrived when they were supposed to receive their Immersion Passes. The twins decided to swing by the office around noon. When they got them, they left the building, and their white Immersion Passes began to activate. They did not even notice it.
