While they might have been close in this new reality, Jon wasn't sure he could trust his cousin enough with the secret of the stone. After all, she was six years old only a moment ago. And as a 6-year old, she wasn't very trustworthy.
On the other hand, he'd wished that Sally could take care of herself until his mom and hers got back. At that point, she should become six years old again, and thus he never would have told her.
