"Jon?" the teenage Sally said.
"Huh?"
"You were saying something about that stone. Something about it being special," she said, pointing directly at the wishing stone. Jon guessed that that meant that he did tell Sally about the stone in this new reality, or rather he was about to. But what about Karyn? Was he still friends with her in this new reality? Jon figured that he must have been. Sally didn't live in town and only visited once in a while (although, in this new reality, maybe she visited more often), so he couldn't be "best friends" with her.
Suddenly, Jon saw Sally waving her hand in front of his face. "Earth to Jon."
"Huh?"
"That's the second time you've spaced out. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay." He looked down at the wishing stone in his hand. Should he continue to tell her about it or keep it a secret? While they might have been close in this new reality, Jon wasn't sure he could trust his cousin enough with the secret of the stone. After all, she was six years old only a moment ago. And as a 6-year old, she wasn't very trustworthy.
