He cringed, realizing what was different about her. The stone had made her old enough to drive herself to the mall...or rather, it had made it so she was taking him to the mall, instead of the opposite.
He hoped that was the limit to the change.
"Come on," Zoe insisted. "Put down the stupid rock and let's go."
He wondered if Zoe was now his twin sister. His mom certainly couldn't have had a child more than two or three years before him without it being a teenage pregnancy, and that would change a lot more than her driving the car. And if she was much older than his age, he would have noticed more instantly than he did.
He wondered how he could get more information without arousing suspicion when Zoe grabbed the rock, put it down, then grabbed his ear, and looking pissed, pulled him out of the room.
