Calling out to us, they hecklers did not stop. "You should be thanking your friend there. He's keeping you guys from a massive thrashing!" the first blade spirit teased. It was starting to piss me off now too. Maybe we should go over and put them in their place. The second one added "You are not even close to our level. You'll never win against us!" Both of them were laughing. I was not sure about their relative strengths, but they had proper clothes. It was much better than the rags Ace and Deuce were wearing. "Shut the hell up!" I yelled over my shoulder at them. They stopped and everyone looked at me. "Ace and Deuce were the ones that played with me! I don't know any of you. I would choose them over you ever time. They are much better than you." That made them aggressive towards me. The first one pushed his chest up against me and glared at me. I held my ground. "Say that again fool. I dare you!" he demanded. I looked him right in the eyes and smiled. There was no way I was going to back down to an NPC. They literally would have to kill me. I said what I had said again.
It was satisfying to see his face contort in rage. He pushed me and Ace and Deuce moved off to the side. They began egging me on. My aggressor's companion was the only one cheering for him. A blue and black boomerang manifested in his hand. He then charged me and attacked. I was not expecting combat so soon, so I flinched in the critical moment. Instinctively, I felt the kunai in my hand. Barely blocking the boomerang, we were now locked together. He was pressing against me for leverage but was not gaining any ground. I was holding strong. He smirked and leapt backwards. The spirit sneered and said "At least one of you is pretty decent. Not enough to defeat me though!" As he charged me again, I got ready to receive him. He was extremely aggressive and constantly on the offense. I was always pretty good at PVP in other games. This was not a hard challenge for me. I was able to parry and counterattack him with ease. He grunted in pain. I also did not hesitate to throw punches and kicks either. It was not long before he was falling on his ass on the ground in total defeat.
Doing damage was easier thanks to the invested skill points. I leaned over and asked if he had had enough. He slammed the ground with both of his fists. Some of that white ooze splashed around him. "There is no way I am losing to you!" he yelled in frustration as he struggled to his feet. I rolled my eyes as it took him a while. When he was up, he walked over to his companion. He had long since stopped cheering and taunting us. He was looking really concerned for him. The defeated blade spirit stood before him and said "Knat. Let me wield you. I need your strength. No one can beat us when we're a team." Knat looked at us and his frown deepened a bit. "Are you sure that's wise, Krit? I know that they are as strong as a pixie's fart, but it's still 3 on 1." Krit narrowed his eyes and Knat flinched. "You think I can't do it?" he spat. Knat looked off to the side. "You know I don't mean it like that. I just don't want the trouble." Krit roughly placed a hand on Knat's chest and squeezed hard. It was clear Knat really was being pressured into this. I was going to say something when he disappeared.
