Walking closer, I entered into Blase Village. It was a medieval village with NPCs wearing peasant clothing that I only saw at renaissance fairs and the internet. There were spirits of all colors, shapes and ages there. I passed by them and they seemed to pay me no mind. I nodded and waved to them. They nodded and waved back at me. But that was it. I continued on my way. At some point near the end of the village, I saw young 2 blade spirits running around and playing together. They seemed friendly and open enough. I decided to go up to them and introduce myself. They stopped playing and looked at me as I approached. I gave them my name and asked to play with them. They nodded and gave me their names. They were Ace and Deuce. They looked kind of similar, so I asked if they were siblings. Duece nervously shook his head no. Ace just scoffed and said "Quit joking around with us. Spirits don't have siblings. We just happened to spawn at the same place around the same time." I did not know this information but was happy to play it off as a big joke. We began to run around.
Ace and Deuce
All of us were just running around the village. Because they were all spirits, they highly valued freedom and individuality. No 2 homes looked the same. As we went, they began to lead me around and explain all the major parts of the village. It was clear that Ace was the leader of the duo. Deuce was skittish and not much of a big talker. I saw he was content to just follow Ace's lead. That was fine with me. He was just as nice as Ace was. When we finished making the loop around, I got a nice ping in my menu. Checking it, I saw that I had gotten exp. for exploring the village. That was cool. I could passively gain exp. just from exploring the area. Just as I was going to ask them to show me more places, we hear a shout from down the road. We were being heckled by a boisterous pair of blade spirits. "Look at you guys. You call yourself blades!? Don't make me laugh! I bet that you couldn't even cut a piece of paper." the first one said. The second one said nothing. He just blew raspberries at us. Then, for an extra insult, he turned and bent over. He then proceeded to slap his butt twice at us.
Being that this was so childish, I was not angry at all. I mean, I haven't seen someone do that since 1st grade. I was going to just ignore them and keep going. However, that was just me. I could see that Ace and Deuce did not share my in opinion on their provocations. They were both caught hook line and sinker. Both went aggressive and began to stomp over to the spirits teasing us. I tried to get them to stop, but they did not listen to me. I got in front of them and actually pushed their shoulders. "Don't you see they are baiting you!? You don't have to go over to them. Let's just go play some more." I grunted as they continued trying to get past me. That only got them to turn on me. "Who cares!? They insulted us! We have to show them who the sharper blades are!" Ace growled as he glared at me. Deuce looked angry and said "Blade spirits are only valuable if they can cut and stab. This is a big insult. Aren't you angry David!?" I said "Why should I care what those idiots think? I know we're great. Why ruin a nice day?" "That sounds like coward talk. Let us go or we'll fight you." Ace snapped.
