Athena felt oddly powerless, she was used to being able to control her situation using magic. If she was going shopping she could "magic" her way into discounts and free stuff, but now that part of her was blocked off. She had never been in this store before, she wasn't quite sure what to do, who to talk to or how to go about buying something. Suddenly she felt alone, going in made sense when she was with Stephanie, it felt like something she should do, if she was so sensual now she may as well shop that way, it was only in being alone that she felt awkward. She looked at a bra that was her size, it was blue and normal, she felt safe with it and she wanted to feel safe. She brought it to the shop girl.
pricta nota Athena said, it was a spell meant to help with bartering that she used out of habit, forgetting that she lacked her powers for a second. The shop girl simply told her "bless you" thinking she had sneezed. This worried and embarrassed Athena and she lost her nerve, walking away.
She was about to leave, heading towards the door, when a shop boy stopped her. "Wow" he said, "would you mind looking at something for me. I think you'd look perfect in it."
The "Wow" caught her off guard. Was she really that pretty?
He brought over a matching lace pair of red lingerie.
"Anyone would kill to see you in these, and it's rare to find the girl with the right figure to pull them off. You're quite lucky." He said giving her a look of appreciation which was clearly sexual. It was a look that she had never been fully the center of before. Over the past few days she could feel eyes on her, she could tell men were paying attention to her, having thoughts about her, but it was in passing she had never dwelled on the idea and had tried to move past it, to outrun it. Now she was face to face with her own affect on people, with her own potential. She blushed because she liked it, and smiled at him.
"Then I guess I should buy it then" she responded in a voice that she didn't mean to imply anything, but most certainly did.
"Whose the lucky guy who gets to see the results?" the shopman boldly asked.
"Depends on my mood I guess."
"Let me ring you up then" he said.
She bought the set, and it was only after she left that she found she had paid half of the tag price, or the phone number that was on the receipt with the note "let me know how they fit." She just might do that.
