My ability to take this at all seriously waned after that. "You called us all the way out here and insult us. We are separate clans that answer to separate hubs. Get to the fucking point of the meeting and tell us what you want or we are leaving." I interrupted his diatribe. He looked furious at me. "What I was getting to, human, was that you should leave clan affairs to your betters!" he spat. He really had hatred for us he was barely suppressing. Mason was very intimidated. He was shivering. "After the disaster with the toxic transmission hub, you human dare to show your faces around us. That in itself is an insult." he continued. I said "I don't give a single shit what you think. You have no power over us. So unless you have a job for us or you actually have something good to give us, I don't have to listen to you whine and complain." I stood up and motioned for Mason to do the same. He did do on very shaky legs. The AEP unit was enraged and stomped over to us. "You want a job!? So you can get more of our transmission hubs compromised. I should kill you here and now!" he yelled.
Now it was time to stand firm. The Volition Clan leader got in between us and said "Please. This is a neutral area and humans are all around the building. A fight would not be good here." That was true. The AEP relented a bit and said "You want to prove your worth. I can give you a task. Tomorrow at noon, there will be a raid on a bar a couple of blocks from here. Some tip has gone out that there are PEP units running businesses in the area. You will be the ones to greet them." So the plan was to get us killed by the police. "Fine. We'll be there and take the scent off of you." I said with a smirk. "Eliminate the threat. Then get the fuck out of our territory." he said firmly. I was really growing to hate them. He did want us to die in a hail of gunfire. Unlucky for him, that was not going to happen. "Because killing cops in the area they were tipped off about will make them patrol the area less?" Mason challenged. At least someone else was still thinking with their head. The AEP unit said "There are no PEP units over there. It is a very different neighborhood. This is just a trap for all of the police."
Only we would be in danger due to this. I sighed and said "Fine. We'll kill all the cops. Then we're out. But you won't like it." He narrowed his eyes. "And why's that!?" he asked. He looked downright murderous. "Because then a pair of humans will have pulled something that you were too scared to do yourself. Then you will be forced to let us take the credit for the operation when it goes without a hitch." I said with a smirk in his face. I then turned to a pale Mason. "C'mon. We have some things to get so we're prepared for the mission." I said as I dragged him out the gym. I could hear the sound of yelling and crashing as we left. Mason looked at me like I was crazy. I did not blame him. "There's no way you're going to do this. We won't make it!" he shouted. People on the street looked at him. He covered his mouth as we walked to the bar in question. It was a simple pub. I scoped it out with him. I felt that I could do it. I had the cheat rifle after all. As we left, we walked around the block I said "As soon as the police come in, run and jump over the counter. I will cover you so just duck down."
Pubs had large bars made of thick wood. He should be protected if he his there. It would have to be seen when the cops arrived. When it got to 11:30 we entered the bar and ordered the most expensive drinks they had. I did not like them at all. Mason really liked it a lot. Half an hour later, the cops burst in the door. "Police! Everyone put your hands up! This is not a drill!" Mason took that as his cue to dive under the bar. I took out my rifle and started peppering them in bullets. There were about a dozen of them. After they were dead, I got my friend out from the bar and we ran out the back. When we ran down the alley, there was our getaway car waiting for us. We drove off and we were scott free. Mason was hyperventilating as I drove. Like we promised, we got the hell out of there. We were done with Pierce Clan and that was great. It was one major thing off of our list. All I could do was hope that both Paul and Brett were having similar success. We could use the wins. I think these could put us on top of the pack. Especially, after putting Water Clan in its place. We returned home to wait.
