Zipping around, the AEP unit was surrounded by more gang members. He had his plating up, but he was severely weakened compared to before. The cyborg could no longer use his organ or blade. That meant he could only fight them with hand to hand combat. They were blasting him with guns. Still, they were dropping like flies. There was nothing humans had that could stand up to the AEP units. When he was done, he looked at us and recoiled in fear. He then ran past us. He was still in his nanite blob form. We still had a day left before our pilot would get in contact with us. All of us needed to figure out what to do in the meantime. We decided to go visit the casino and red light district. We had a lot of fun and made some money. That gave us a VIP membership to the casino and we got to have fun playing dice and blackjack with all ladies of the night we met until we got the call from 08927. I would not mind taking gambling breaks more often. We got a luxury car to the airport. 08927 was already at the hangar. Paul and I went through all of the airport security until we got to the tarmac.

As we approached, 08927 held out his hands. "Payment please." he said. I sighed and gave him enough money to build the X-frame at the Foundry. He then let us on a shiny plane. He had recolored it into the colors of his clan logo. We flew all the way to Neo-Rutten. I asked what he was going to do now. "You have all the cash and the blueprints. You even have a sexual upgrade for it. You could go straight to the Foundry. We have a cab company to pick us up and bring us back to the clan." He then smiled. "I guess I will go there then. It seems we are done here." he told us before walking off. We then made our way out of the airport. Paul looked at me and smiled. It was not a very good sign. He just pointed at the road and said "Want to go home on foot!? It might be fun." I looked at him as if he was crazy. "There are monsters and crazies out there between the city and town." I balked. "Well we can kill anything that comes our way. It will be cool." I agreed. We decided to go. Almost immediately, we were beset by mechanical creatures. We blasted them all as we walked down the road.

Blasting and shooting caused quite a commotion. Since hardly anybody ever walked the roads, lots of monsters had spawned in the area. Some of them were stronger than others. It was not until we got halfway that we were attacked by a boss monster. It was an amalgamation of several large creatures fused together with cybernetics and wires. It was gross and it was aggro on us. It was immune to bullets and even resistant to bullets. It was a big hassle to kill. By the time it got down to critical, we had been at it for hours. Before we could kill it, a large blast of lightning shot out and attacked the thing. The boss fell over and then slunk back. A scripted event. I guess that a big boss like this was not just a 1 time thing. A red ATV with yellow lightning bolts came towards us. There was a large group of people approaching. As they got closer, we saw it was a team of 3 humans and an AEP unit. As a team, they got over to us and rushed out. "C'mon! Come with us if you want to live!" the AEP unit said as he grabbed my hand. They got us on the ATV and drove. I wondered where we were going.
