I almost caught a beating from Jessica and Claudette when they passed by me. It was very sudden and they did not even go hostile. It seemed to be an event in case of this situation. They chased me around the main hall and then into the elevator. Both of them were cursing at me. I rode it all the way down to the AEP lab. I saw Peyton and Connie hanging with Ashton, Kendall, Riley and Lola. They were running in the hallway and playing in the rock garden. They could see and play safely due to their superhuman senses. I was not going to interfere. Stepping inside the lab, I saw Tracie, Robin and Christopher. They seemed to be really upset. As we had strongarmed the library, we had gotten a new upgrade. It was a nanite cannon that fired plasma. It could emerge from anywhere on their body that they wanted to install. However, it would take a full week to research and build. The blackout put a full stop on that. The fabricators also stopped after the black out. I was able to fabricate the organ 3 times. That gave me 4 of them. Since we had 9 AEPs giving them out would be favoritism.
Down in the lab, I could stay for a bit before they noticed me. They were also angry with me, so they surrounded me and tried to bully me. I just pat them on the back and on their heads gently. That seemed to annoy them even more. They flexed their armor plating at me but soon moved back to the chairs in the center of the room. They could tell they were not getting a rise out of me. I tried to ask them if they got any assignments from the chair. They did have 3 days with it after all. They glared darkly at me. None of them wanted to talk about it at the moment. Ryder and Maroon came in and dragged me back to the elevator to continue standing watch over the building module in the main hall. "You don't get a break until this is done." Maroon said. I just sighed. It was no use fighting with them. They all wanted the crisis to be over with as soon as possible. Thankfully, it only took 3 days for the lights to come back on. We only needed 1 new generator. The next one would help supply extra power. Now, everyone could use all functions of the clan building again. That put my standing back up.
Even more important was the meeting with the enemy clan. We went to the library as that was neutral ground. They had requested to meet at 1pm. We were waiting for them all to arrive. 12-001 was standing with the librarians on the rooftop with us. We heard them approaching from the sky. It was 06-001 and one of the PEP units from their clan. The AEP unit was flying them in using his wings and jet engine. It now made sense why they wanted to meet so late at night. It had taken a longer time that I would have thought to set up a meeting. I did not know if that was a good or bad thing yet. They certainly did not like humans. When they landed, they looked around and walked over to 12-001. The saw he was okay and then glared at us. The head librarian cleared her throat. "I am glad you were all able to make it. As discussed beforehand, we received the conditions of each party in advance for this meeting. For the release of 12-001 back to his clan, a peace treaty and alliance must be formed between the 2 clans." she said. They agreed. 12-001 was allowed to go with the PEP unit.
