Doing his best to look like he cared about that warning, he said "I will be very careful with her and have fun while staying safe." I pat him on the shoulder. "Don't worry. It's going to be alright. Go get her Orange. She's lucky to have you." He seemed to like the encouragement. I then looked at Mason. "Let's go." I said. We then made our way there on foot. When we got there, it was getting late in the evening. I walked right up to the PEP librarian and told her that I needed to let her look at the USB. She did not want to do so until I told her where it came from. That made her rush to the reception desk and pull out a tablet. She stuck the USB into it and began looking at the contents. She then looked up in horror. "How the hell did you get this!?" she hissed. "What does it say?" I asked. She looked at me for a moment before regaining her composure. "For one thing, this is not the local transmission hub. Secondly, you do not have your AEP lab operational yet." I told her about 12-001. Her eyes widened at the tale. "This is important information. I need to actually start decrypting this." she said.

Eventually, she finished and looked up at me. "It is just as you say. This conversation took place a couple days ago in Starlight City to the North. They were the one that initiated, and their hub agreed." "This seems like valuable information for the hub near here. I hope my clan's reward is as valuable." I said with a smile as I leaned in on the table. She frowned and said "I will inform the transmission hub. If they deem you worthy, you may get what they give you." If it was something small, I would be a bit upset. She then got up and went downstairs. While we waited, Mason tapped me on the shoulder. I looked at him and he showed me his kill switch. The light on the bottom had changed color. I looked at mine and it was blue as well. That was one of them down. I hoped that the other one stayed away. When she finally came back, she looked at us. She waited until she was behind the desk and settled. Then she said "Our hub was interested by the state of affairs. However, they were not pleased at your treatment of the AEP units. Your reward is an AEP augment when your lab is online."

Feeling as though our job was done, I got Mason and we left. As we were going, we saw Chad, Caleb and Greta. They seemed to be finished with getting their upgrades installed. I waved to them and they came over. Mason smiled and said "It seems we got something good." Caleb said "It certainly looks like it." I walked with them. They were going to work through the night on decrypting the other data they got from the AEP unit. They seemed interested in me also being there. "I can't believe that we are finally in a clan." "Well, I knew Mason would need some assistants for his work." I told them. Greta came up to me and leaned on my arm. "Since we have been getting to know each other better, do you want to spend the night together?" I shrugged. "I guess that it wouldn't hurt." I said. They all seemed happy. We made it back to the lab and Mason got to work on his computer. He was blowing through it all and got a ton out of the data. Even more than was put on the USB. Not only were there logs with the transmission hub, but the other clan members too. They were an anti-human group.
