"Don't worry about it. Please come in," he said soothingly. Instantly the woman complied, closing the door behind her and walking to meet the source of the voice, all confusion and trepidation banished from her mind.
The woman left the room in a dazed state. She had work to do...a new job. She would be the eyes and ears of her new boss...It was very important, what she did...for some reason.
As she headed away from the motel, the 'boss' smiled. He might be staying here, his range not extending much further than the confines of this motel, but with his new employee's cell phone, he could relay instructions to her quite easily.
