Theresa was counting down the minutes to the end of her shift, when a new customer entered the lobby. She was a middle aged woman, likely a resident of Lake Point.
Naturally she asked for a room, paying with credit and not asking for any sort of room in particular. Theresa went to get the key, grabbing one at random, only to realize that it was the key to Room 3. Didn't she just deliver towels to the person staying there?
Theresa shook the feeling off, turning back to the woman and handing her the key with a smile. The woman took the key and headed towards her room, while Theresa resumed her countdown to the end of her day at the motel.
The newest guest to the Moterway opened the door to her room, only to find that the lights were already on, and a suitcase was by the door. "What..." the woman began, but was cut off by a male voice within the room.
"Don't worry about it. Please come in," he said soothingly. Instantly the woman complied, closing the door behind her and walking to meet the source of the voice, all confusion and trepidation banished from her mind.
