Laura stumbled out of the facility and ran down the street. She just kept running, unsure of where she even was, and too scared to pay attention to the route she was taking.
Finally, she stopped, deciding she was safe, and checked herself. She didn't have her purse, so she had no ID, no money...she needed to get home.
She finally calmed down enough to get her bearings and started toward home. She briefly thought about finding the nearest police station, but she wasn't even sure they'd believe her story.
She had this feeling that she needed somewhere safe to be.
