"A wishing stone? For real?" Michelle asked, becoming giddy. She turned and ran out of the room, then down the hall, saying out loud "I wish ..."
Realizing that it was bad for anyone but himself or Karyn to be using the stone, Jon rushed out of the room after her. But it was too late. She had already finished her wish. The only good thing was that Jon was able to hear the wish, so his memories wouldn't have been changed with everyone else's.
"..I were the richest girl in the world!" Michelle finished.
Michelle idolized Sarah McMillan, but was also envious of how she was rich, and came from a wealthy family. Michelle wanted to be a rich girl, too, and live in the fancy houses with all the finest clothes.
The stone glowed, indicating that the wish was going to be granted.
Michelle, however, did not know that this was the Random Stone, and as such the wish wouldn't be granted to her. Instead, someone else would be granted the wish as if they had wished to become the richest girl in the world.
