(So, Jon's grandfather thought the stone's range was several miles based on his testing. This story is going to divide based on whether he was right or not. In this path he was wrong, and the range was global, in the other he was correct and the stone can't make any big reality shifts outside of its range.)
Jon's errant wish was accidentally one of the most complicated the stone had received in sometime. If for no other reason than that in most of the modern world, society had moved beyond having a monarchy as anything more than symbolic, if they had them at all. Still, the wish had been made, so the stone set about rewriting history.
John stumbled forward and suddenly he was no longer in the foyer of his family's modest suburban home. Instead he was standing in what looked like the entryway to a palace from an Otome game. It was massive with plush royal blue carpet rolled out over a rose marble floor. A giant chandelier hung over it and several passageways branched off deeper into the palace. At the end of the hall was a grand staircase that branched at a landing to two more staircases going up. Above the landing sat a massive stained glass window depicting a dark haired woman surrounded by light and clouds.
"Greetings, your highness, did you have a satisfactory day at school?" Jon turned to see a girl in a maid uniform, her brown hair tied up in a bun, curtsying to him as she asked the question. Jon did a double take as he recognized the girl as Melissa Smith, one of Sarah's friends and a cheerleader at Lake Valley. Jon realized she was waiting on an answer.
"Um, yes it was quite ... satisfactory." It was as he spoke in a refined mid-atlantic accent that Jon realized the changes were not restricted to the world around him, he had also changed. He looked down to see a body he was totally unfamiliar with. Generous cleavage showed from the floral yellow gown he was wearing. His waist tapered perfectly before his hips ballooned back outward, giving him an hourglass frame. A tight orange jacket with flared sleeves went over the gown. Floral decorations adorned her wrists and were woven into her glossy reddish brown hair. A golden choker wrapped around her neck, affixed with a pale green jewel. She was also apparently wearing matching yellow heels to complete her look. What on earth had he done to himself?
