Outside the restrooms, Amber was continuing to argue with Tiffany. "I can't believe I'm saying this to you of all people, but lighten up! There's so many more important things to worry about."
"And I'm saying that you and Sarah and the others need to set a good example for people." Tiffany replied, not budging.
"Look, this is pointless. I don't know what's going on, but people are going crazy and you're not acting like yourself." Amber said.
"For the last time, I don't see anything wrong with asking all of you to clean up your acts and ..."
"Enough already! What's going to snap you out of this?" Amber said with a sigh.
At this point, Chris Morgan and Randy Goodman approached, having confiscated the Clown Gun and the Emo Gun.
"See? It's just as I told you." Chris said to Randy.
Randy stared at Tiffany. The button-down blouse and long knee-length skirt she was wearing were not Tiffany's style at all. Tiffany usually dressed in clothes meant to show off her figure and attract the attention of boys. Outside of cheerleading practice, that is, when she wore the usual cheerleading outfit.
"You're right. She must have been hit with one of those weird ray guns." Randy said, to Chris.
"What? You mean those things are real?" Amber said. "I've seen all these weird changes. Erika's suddenly become a lot more athletic-looking, and she was headed to the gymnasium last I saw her. Tom Welles has gone all Goth totally out of nowhere, but I didn't think those weird toy ray guns had anything to do with them."
"You mean you haven't seen anyone get zapped?" Chris asked.
"No. I've just been talking to Jessica between classes, and seeing all these people show up acting strange and even dressing completely unlike themselves." Amber replied. "At first I thought it was some sort of prank, but then I realized they weren't acting. Mrs. Lynch the guidance counselor's a total bimbo now. When I tried to talk to Tom, he was truly behaving like he'd always been a Goth -- and he usually hates on Goths!"
When Mrs. Lynch's name was mentioned, Tiffany froze. A guilty expression appeared on her face. She did not want to talk about what had happened before, especially now with her new prudish personality.
"These weird Transformation Guns -- that's what people are calling them -- have turned up all over the school." Chris Morgan said. "Each one's different. We've heard about the Jock Gun, Goth Gun, Nerd Gun, Geek Gun, and more. We've found the Emo Gun, the Clown Gun, and the Mime Gun ourselves."
"Only after some other people were using them to change others. This is so messed up!" Randy said.
"I heard Sarah, Nicole, and some of the others are bringing these things to the Principal to lock up. I think I'd better text them."
Chris Morgan grabbed his cell phone and sent a few texts to both Sarah and Nicole.
Principal Davison's Office, Lobby
At that moment, Nicole was looking at Melissa Smith, and herself, with a measure of relief. Just a few minutes ago, she had used the Babe Gun on Melissa Smith, hoping it would undo what the Fat Gun had done to her.
Sure enough, the effect was similar to what Nicole and Brad had seen happen with Gladys Brewer. Layers of fat seemed to melt away as Melissa's figure shrank and reshaped into a very attractive shape. She became a very attractive young woman. The Melissa Smith that existed prior to the Transformation Guns had been attractive before, but the new one was now even more beautiful.
Melissa Smith looked at herself in a nearby mirror, and cried tears of joy. She turned to Nicole. "Thank you! Thank you!" she exclaimed, in joy and relief.
Nicole then, with only a small bit of hesitation and nervousness, used the Babe Gun on herself. She felt a very strange sensation as her body shrank and reshaped itself. She could feel herself becoming lighter, and steadier. A sense of calm, peace, and confidence filled her.
Nicole then looked in the mirror, and gasped. She was now a very, very attractive version of her previous, pre-Transformation Gun self. "Oh my..."
Kyla Leeson looked on in astonishment. "This is incredible! The Babe Gun can actually do that?" She had heard the story of how the Babe Gun had changed Becky Rodder and Gladys Brewer, but she hadn't actually seen either of them since before their respective transformations. Now, however ... seeing was most certainly believing.
"Take a look." Nicole said with a smile.
Melissa turned to Kyla. "Would you like to try it yourself? I think you could use it. Consider it a gift. No hard feelings, okay?"
Kyla knew Melissa must be in a good mood if she was offering Kyla this opportunity. But as Kyla stared at the transformed Melissa and Nicole, she had to wonder: Did she really want to be that beautiful?
Kyla Leeson was a geek girl, shy and inhibited, thin and not considered 'pretty' by the popular girls. Many of the popular girls picked on her for her plain, sort of nerdy appearance, and her lack of fashion sense. Melissa Smith had been one of those girls. Now Melissa was offering Kyla a chance at an instant makeover, and possibly only doing so because Kyla genuinely felt terrible about making Melissa fat with the Fat Gun earlier. But did Kyla really want that, and all the attention that went with it?
"I... I don't know." Kyla said. "I'd like to think about it some more."
"Sure, take your time." Melissa said. "But if I were you, I'd leap right at it."
Nicole, meanwhile, looked at herself and Melissa with relief. The Babe Gun had worked wonders, and not only undid the Fat Gun's effects, but made them both lovelier than ever. Nicole still, however, had all the geeky knowledge provided by the Geek Gun. It seems some effects of different Transformation Guns remained, but others were mutually exclusive.
As she turned to look at Reggie the black girl cheerleader and Biff the nine-year old boy (both changed by the Random Gun), she sighed. "I don't think the Babe Gun is going to get either of you back to anything resembling your normal selves. I don't think any of the guns we've found so far will."
It was then that she received a text. She paused to read it, and told the others. "That was Chris Morgan. He and Randy Goodman found some more Transformation Guns. They also found Amber and Tiffany ... but Tiffany's been changed."
