(Note...this is a truncated version of the Anonymous51 post, to allow exploration of what might happened if Jon didn't turn her back.)
"How do I look?" she asked Jon, turning towards him.
"You look ... like a Goth."
She smiled.
Then Jon said "In fact, you are a Goth. And this is your bedroom."
Suddenly, his mom's demeanor changed. "Of course, it's my fucking room. Now get out, twerp!"
After she nearly slammed the door in his face, Jon heard metal music blasting from inside the room.
"She actually thinks she's a Goth," Jon whispered to himself. "She actually believes it, as though she was always one."
After a few minutes had passed, Jon decided that he had taken this test too far. It was time to get his mom back to normal.
He knocked on the door, repeatedly. After about twenty knocks, the door finally flew open. "Why the fuck are you bothering me?" Jon was nearly knocked down. First, because of the way she talked, and second because she looked different. She still wore the Goth clothes he saw her in before, but now she also had black lipstick and eyeliner. She must have put it on after she threw him out of the room.
