Jon turned to look at the wishing stone, just lying there on his night stand. He knew he couldn't use it to know exactly what was happening because of his dumb wish, but perhaps he could use it to stop what was happening? For all he knew, Jon could be the next one to change!
It was worth a try. "I wish that the changes that my wish started, like Sarah now being Karyn's sister would not change anyone else."
Nothing.
He tried again. "I wish that there would be no additional changes as a result of my wish."
Nothing again.
He tried again. "I wish that this wish would be over soon."
A flash.
Of course, soon could be hours, minutes, days....But at least he knew there was an end.
He put the stone back down and opened the door to his room.
