She yelped and saw her pants legs got vomit on them from the way she fell. People were looking and it did not look like anyone was going to step in. Elijah was really not going to stand for this. A woman was being threatened in front of him. He stood up and Tyler did as well. They walked over and got in-between them. Tyler helped the girl up to her feet. William said "It's time to leave, man." The drunk looked at him and said "It's not my fault! She's the one that charged at me." William just crossed his arms and said "Listen. We'll keep her away from you, so you can go." He looked at them and it was clear that this guy was sizing them up. He probably wanted to see if they could be attacked. Elijah just flexed and rolled his shoulders. He was also sizing the drunk up as well. As far as guys went, he looked like a nerd. Normally he probably would not be able to hold eye contact with a girl, let alone shove them. He must have been an angry drunk. "Just... go man" Elijah said. The drunk guy saw he was not going to win. He grumbled a bit as he turned and left. That diffused the situation.
Doing that was enough to keep the peace. It almost made William wonder if things were not really over. However, they saw the drunk exit the hall and stumble down the block. The girls thanked them and told them that they were her heroes. "I was so scared. He was so fucking scary when he pushed me." she said. Tyler looked at her warmly and said "It's alright. You never know what can happen. I thought it was really cool how you tried to help a bum like him out." William agreed with him. "It takes guts to step up." he said. She just sniffled and they walked her to her seat. The stain on her pant legs was starting to smell. Her friends took care of her from there. That was the end of the job that William and Tyler had. They returned to the table to a hero's welcome. The rest of the frat showered praised on the both of them for what they did. Tyler was a bit embarrassed. "C'mon guys. Anybody would do the same thing if they had any Locks or Keys like us." he dismissed as he rubbed the back of his head. "Hey. Anybody could. We were the ones that did. Don't worry." Elijah said to him.
People passing by would nod at them they went on their way. They nodded back. Elijah still had more salmon to eat. The center of the Mike's meat was a bit too rare. It stained the rice pink. Elijah just sucked his teeth and grumbled about it. He was still going to continue eating. His food simply tasted too good to put it away. He blamed it on the seasonings as he chewed. The broccoli was pretty good tonight. It was steamed to perfection, and he was able to chew on it once or twice before swallowing the whole thing. Aside from cauliflower, broccoli was his favorite vegetable. When he was done eating, there was still some rice on Mike's plate. It was the blood-stained rice from the steak. Greg noticed it and said "Your rice is pink man. Did you pour juice on it or something?" That got others to notice it and they made comments as well. Mike had to explain what happened and they looked confused. "I've never seen that happen before." Tyler said. "You still ate it?" Dustin asked. Elijah could not tell what was going on. "It's not a big idea. It's just a little annoying. What's wrong with you guys?"
