Jon's eyes settled on a food trailer selling soft pretzels. "I guess I could get something to eat..." He thought as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the money clip. "I can't rent a car... And with no phone I can't get a ride... Eh a few bucks for food is worth it." Jon peeled off a $20 and went to stick the money clip back in his pocket, but his driver's license caught his eye. "Shit..." He grumbled as he looked at the picture on his license. Long curly blonde hair framed Jon's normal face. "Of course..." Letting out a sigh Jon slid the money clip back into his pocket and got in line to get a pretzel.
Jon kept his eyes fixed on the ground as the line slowly moved forward. It felt a bit autistic to Jon, but it was better than the alternative. Taking another step forward Jon realized that he had finally made it to the front of the line. "What can I get y'all?" A young woman's voice asked Jon.
Jon's eyes quickly darted up to the menu. "Um a pretzel and cheddar cheese dip." Jon said quickly placing the $20 bill on the counter and averting his eyes from the young woman.
"That will be $7.69 darlin." The woman said as she began making Jon's change. "Can I just say, you have amazing hair. I'm honestly a bit jealous that a handsome young man like yourself has such an amazing head of hair." She scooped up the last of Jon's change and held it out to Jon.
"Um thanks..." Jon said as his eyes finally drifted up to the woman's face. "Whew... She's not hot..." Jon thought as he took his change and dropped it into his pocket. Aside from her icy blue eyes she was fairly average looking. Jon felt a bit of relief as he watched the woman grab a pretzel and a container of cheese for Jon.
"Here you go sugar." The woman said winking at Jon. "One hot pretzel and one cup of our best cheddar cheese. For the young man with the gorgeous hair." She batted her blue eyes at Jon and handed him his food.
"Thanks..." Jon quickly took the pretzel and cheese and hurried off to a secluded bench to eat. The wink, her flirtiness, and her slight southern drawl had stirred something inside Jon. "I need to be more careful." he mumbled to himself as he began to eat. Jon quickly gobbled up the pretzel as he pondered what his next move would be. "I guess I need to find a place to crash tonight..." He thought as he pulled out the money clip and placed his change in it.
"Really?" Jon let out a sigh as once again his driver's license caught his eye. "Eyes: Blue..." Jon let his head fall back causing his mass of blonde curls to reach down to his midback. "At least blue eyes work with the blonde hair." Jon slid the money clip back in his pocket. "Ugh this hair..." The constant swishing across his shoulders and the extra weight on his head was getting annoying. "I need a fricken hair tie or something..."
