All 3 kids were going to be absolute monsters when they grew up. The daughter Cole and I had was called Zoe. Cole would come in and poke at her and lift her up once a day. It was really cute. Daniel and Quinn on the other hand, were a bit disappointing in that they did not seem to care about their children. I called them out on it when I got them in the nursery together. "Sorry. But they do not have much value to us PEP units." Daniel said. I thought that it was insulting. Quinn stepped up and said "We will make sure they are protected and not in need for anything." That was a bit better. "Please make sure to visit them and make them feel loved. You never know if they might save your life one day." Quinn said "PEP units can do everything. These children are practically human with enhanced strength and brain power." "It would be a very different story if they were Primitive Exploration Automaton units or even Advanced Exploration Prototypes." Daniel added. I asked what he meant by that. He, Cole and Quinn shared a look before they looked at me. It must be really important to them.

Based on the words, I could tell that it has something to do with the PEP units. I knew from Toby that Primitive Exploration Prototype was what PEP stood for. The PEP unites were meant to be simple cyborgs to interface with a planet of humans that were way too underdeveloped. They looked like humans and had bodily flaws such as blue blood, charge ports or the salt and sugar water. Primitive Exploration Automatons, or PEAs were the offspring of the PEPs that had obtained the sexual upgrades. I thought that it made sense. Why else would they be created with the ability to get them? They were still blue blooded, but they could tolerate salt and sugar water. They also did not need to be charged via electricity. They could instead rely on solar power to keep them going. To this end, they would all have green hair and yellow eyes. It was different from the Advanced Exploration Prototypes. There was a world of separation between them. Advanced Exploration Prototypes were the offspring of PEP units piloting X-frames. They were more biomechanical. They ate food and had augments.

Calling them humanoid was barely accurate. Their skin was a leathery matte gray with a harder black biometal plating over it on the limbs and jaws. The augments that they had all were made and installable from the clan labs. I as the technician would be able to track and create them. The augments could range from blades, lazers and guns as weapons to wings and wheels for mobility. All the AEPs had pink hair and silver eyes. It was actually a pretty cool concept. They were much more machine than human, but they had biological metabolisms that severed them from the need to charge. Their flaw was that, for all their strength, they were easily hackable as they had a noticeable port on their chests and needed to connect to the internet to access the directives of the transmission hubs. That was due to them just being prototypes. It was to be expected. When they unlocked their own sexual upgrades, they would have offspring that would be the AEA. That stood for Advanced Exploration Automatons units. It was pretty much mythic because it was seriously endgame. Noone had it yet.
