The atmosphere got more intense. "They will soon know the might of Kearie Clan for real this time. It is time for us to rise." the chief continued. The options we had were the Traric Clan to the east and Ralora Clan to the west. It seemed simple enough. "The west gives us access to a river while the east has a glade with plants with magical properties." the female elder spoke up. I asked which one was the least guarded. Since I was not going to be getting recognized for my skill anytime soon, there was no real reason to try that hard. The Ralora Clan was not too well guarded. They had a river to serve as a natural border from the western quadrant of the forest. The only competition they had was us, the weakest clan. That was not to say that they were not strong. They were the direct vassals of the main southern faction. They gave their best warriors to Lyari Clan when they were called for in a time of conflict with another quadrant. Depending on that, we could storm them easily. I tried to press for that outcome. There were some for it and some against it. The elders decided to go to Ralora.

Undertaking a siege and takeover of a territory was not a simple thing. There were rules and customs. First, the chiefs and elders had to go over to them and see if they could take the land over peacefully. That was unlikely to happen, but there was something to be said of tradition and diplomacy. They set off in the morning the day after the feast. They spent the whole day and came back in the evening. Diplomacy had failed. The Ralora Clan were given 3 days to reconsider. Once those were up, we could move in with an attack force and take them on with no mercy. Since this was a siege and war, killing would happen. The bloodshed would go on until one side was left standing. That would be us. It would be all of the raiders, hunters and warriors going to put their lives on the line for the clan. The 3 days were spent crafting arrows, crafting armor, praying for success and preparing medicine for the casualties that were sure to occur. I was also helping as best I could. Ayred and Sontar were both very pensive. One or both of them could easily fall in this uphill battle. I gave them space.

I was not going to get in their way. After the 3 days we were all ready for the battle. The clan chief was going to lead us into the fray. I was a Sharpshooter so I was going to stay at a distance and snipe them. The Ralora elves were different from us. They were brown eyed and had copper red hair. When the battle started, I climbed further up a tree and began to kill the enemies. Men women and children were getting it from me. I was hidden, so I got all of the bonuses to damage. I made sure to keep an eye out for the siblings. I had a soft spot for them since they treated me the best this whole time. If they were looking like they were in trouble, I would make sure to clear a path out of where they were. They would move on and continue fighting. There was no time on the battlefield to stop to look for allies in the trees. Using the 2 of them as a focus, we were able to take out several warriors on their side. We were not doing so well. They were just stronger and better equipped than us. I was doing my best to score crits and headshots to drop them fast, but it was not fast enough for us.

Very quickly, we were losing ground. I had to hop around trough the treetops. It was time to focus on high value targets. I looked around for our chief. He was fighting with some of his elite warriors against the supposed chief of the enemy clan. They were fighting each other. I decided to aim for the chief. I missed several shots. He was just moving too fast. I had to calm down and aim better. When I let go of the arrow, it sailed through the air and sank itself in the eye of the chief. He roared in pain as he stumbled around. Our chief was able to direct a charge towards him. His subordinates did their best to defend him, but it was too late. We had the momentum. I also had a few more arrows to use. I caught him again in the neck and that killed him. He fell and the enemy warriors still there were shocked. In that moment we had them, and they went down like a row of dominoes. They survivors then began to retreat. I killed a few as they ran off. Victory was ours and the defeated Ralora Clan were in hiding somewhere else in the forest. We had to clean up the damage before moving our clan in.
