Being an aeromorph, we were the pinnacle of engineering. Some countries had them in service and military roles. The ones that did were the superpowers in the world. I knew that there were at least 95 countries in this world. A good rule of thumb was that you wanted aircraft to dominate the sky. Whoever dominated the sky could then fully dominate the ground. There were certain types of military planes. They were Transport Planes, Fighter Planes, Maritime Patrol Planes, Bombers, Attack Planes, Reconnaissance and Surveillance Planes, Multirole Airplanes, Airborne Early Warning Airplanes, Experimental Airplanes and the Electronic Warfare Airplanes. I guessed that I would be a Multirole plane since I could carry up to 2 tons as well as use a variety of different equipment and techniques for tasks such as battlefield surveillance, artillery spotting, and even airspace surveillance. It was true that we could participate in both general intelligence gathering and real-time surveillance. As it stood, there were only 7 countries with aeromorphs. The country that made us had dozens of them.

Carrying lots of weight would be fine with me as long as I could get my running start. Otherwise, I might not be able to fit that much inside of me. We would need to fix all the problems that we had before something happened to us. Maybe when we leveled up enough, I could make myself better at certain things. I was passively tapping into radios and the signal towers as I passed by them. The fuel in my chest was starting to run low. That was probably due to the fact that I needed to expend so much carrying the weight. Especially, when I could not get off the ground. Running the calculations, I could make it back it time as long as I followed the path exactly. Any small detour from the route would put me in jeopardy of running out of fuel before the base. I would need to get a refill as soon I touched down either way. It was raining, which was honestly not a good sign for me. I was going to have to go through it if I wanted to make it back home. I had 7 hours worth of fuel left and I was estimated to arrive back in 6 and a half. I was really cutting it close. There was no time for the fancy flying.

I got to the base with 10 minutes to spare. I had to make a detour to avoid lightning from a storm cloud. That would have been a pain if I got hit with it. Bystanders around the landing zone watched the incoming figure as I began my final approach. Many moved on -- another unit dropping by, so what? One or two others hung around, fresh recruits catching their first glimpse of one of my kind touching down for real. The landing-lights stretched out before me. I prepared himself. "Okay, you did this already." I said to myself. adjusting my position to direct the jets where I was hurtling. As they burned hotter and brighter, I slowed down. I caught myself and landed decently. I then went straight for the refueling station. I needed that refill. I did not care about anyone or anything else at the moment. Once I had refilled, the time for the NPC trial run had come to an end. The trial runs last for one hour, which means not much time had passed in the real world. I was given the choice to go forward and keep this avatar or make a real one. I chose not to make a new one and start over. I liked the setting.
