The event was being held by a fraternity, Lambda Kappa Pi, at their house, in partnership with a sorority across the street, Lambda Mu Pi. The fact they were only one Greek symbol off led to some confusion.
The Kappa Pis and the Mu Pi's were both pledging this week. After Biff and Heather entered, they were separated and seated with eight other pledges...five male, five female.
"Welcome new pledges..." an fraternity brother said. "Pledge Week is upon us. It is going to be challenging, it is going to test whether you are the sort of person we want to be our brother...or in the case of you girls, their sister. Some of the challenges will be together, but most of them are going to be separated by the two houses."
One of the leaders of the sorority stood up. "So, we told you we are having a party tonight. But it's only six o'clock. The party doesn't start for a few hours. Do you know why?!!?" She said, excitedly. "Because all of you have to go off and plan it. We did nothing! Party starts at 9. And unless you want us thrown off campus, no drinking. For this first exercise, you will work as a team. There will be one of us from each house observing you."
Biff frowned. =Plan a party?= he thought. This wasn't anything like the pledging in the movies. What was next, a bakeoff?
