Tiffany woke up. She didn't remember nodding off...last she remembered, she'd been on her phone texting on her bed.
Now she was in the master bedroom, on her parent's, or rather her mom's bed. Her Mom and Dad had separated and Mom had even started dating again.
She stumbled across the hall to her room and paused. It...didn't look like her room. It looked empty...like a spare room might be. She made a noise of confusion. This was scary.
As she left, she caught sight of herself in the mirror, and discovered her face naked...no makeup.
She hurried down the stairs, confused. She found her mother, Cheryl Sanders, working on something at the dining room table. "What's wrong?" She said. "I saw you'd fallen asleep on the bed...I thought I'd let you get some rest."
That seemed normal enough. Tiffany looked at her watch. "What time is dinner, Cheryl?" She asked, distractedly, not realizing she'd used her mother's first name.
"It's in the oven on low." she said. "I didn't want to wake you. I was working on our finances. I'd like to talk about a few things."
Tiffany felt surprisingly interested. "What about our finances?" She asked.
