"So you're in elementary?" Mikey asked. Sarah nodded in response.
Mikey looked around the table. No one seemed to find it odd that a teenage girl who was dressed as a boy was attending elementary school. They also didn't seem to find it odd that he was dressed as teenage girl and attending high school.
"Honey?" His mom asked. "Aren't you going to eat anything? Your dinner's getting cold."
Mikey paused. _Was his mom talking to him or Sarah? Sarah was looking like him, talking like him...or the old him. Mikey didn't really care...he liked his new friends and look much better.
But high school? How was he going to handle skipping six grades? No one would believe the truth...He felt a bit panicky, but calmed himself. He was Mikey Gibson...he could handle anything.
He took a few bites of the food.
Sarah smiled at Mikey, thinking she was nice and pretty. She wasn't sure why she heard people say mean things about him.
