Sarah looked at Mikey. "You're in the same class as Karyn, right? A junior?"
"What?" Mikey said.
"In school..." Sarah said.
Some things in Mikey's head suddenly started to click. He gave Sarah a good look over. She was wearing a blue T-shirt with a cartoon character on it. Her jeans were ripped and scruffy. Her brown hair was cut short.
Mikey realised that this used to be his look before things started changing.
"What grade are you in?" Mikey asked testing her.
"5th" Sarah replied.
"So you're in elementary?" Mikey asked. Sarah nodded in response.
Mikey looked around the table. No one seemed to find it odd that a teenage girl who was dressed as a boy was attending elementary school. They also didn't seem to find it odd that he was dressed as teenage girl and attending high school.
"Honey?" His mom asked. "Aren't you going to eat anything? Your dinner's getting cold."
