Normally Sarah would have been disgusted by this but instead she replied "Oh cool. I wish I was with you guys". A loud cheer came from the cool table and Sarah looked up. Biff had just tripped up a nerd and everyone was laughing. Sarah wished she could join them. Not because she loved Biff anymore but because she thought he was cool. The bell rang indicating lunch was over and Sarah headed to her next class.
Jon meanwhile stepped out of the girl's bathroom having made up his mind. He didn't know why Karyn was pushing this. When he was where she was, it wouldn't have occurred to him to ever change their relationship...she was too good a friend. Was it possible it did, and he'd changed too much to recall?
He headed back to where Tim and Karyn were waiting. "I'll go with both you...separately," he said. "But if it turns out that I prefer one of you that way, or neither of you...you are going to have to live with it, okay?"
Part of Jon...the increasingly feminine part...was intrigued to see what they would come up with...that part also was afraid they'd act like jackasses and ruin the friendship. If only Tim hadn't started this...there didn't seem to be a good way to end it.
