When Sally had finished, Sharon looked in the mirror again. She gasped. Her hair was now tied into pigtails. Sharon looked back at Sally and that was when she noticed it. Sally's hair was now tied into a professional bun. "Come on," Sally said. "Let's go."
Sharon still felt energetic. She wondered if it was all the sugar she'd had for breakfast...but it tasted so good... "What did you do to my hair?" She asked, looking down at Sally.
"It was all messed up, sweetie. I put it back to normal," Sally said.
"Nuh-uh," Sharon said.
"I think you look adorable," Sally said. "And I don't have time to play with your hair if we don't want to be late. We can talk about it after work, okay?" Sally said, authoritatively.
"But..." Sharon started to protest. Then she looked at Sally's face and suddenly was afraid to say anything more, for fear of making her angry. "K," she said.
They went outside and Sally fished her keys out of the handbag to lock the door to the house. "I want you to behave at work today," she told Sharon as they headed toward the car. "No more games, okay?" She told Sharon.
"But they aren't games," Sharon said.
