The second Jon put the cute Ugg Boots on something changed in him, you could see it in his posture, you could hear it in his voice.
"Do you really think you are pulling that outfit off honey?" Jon said with practiced mock sincerity, just this side of caring.
Linda read this as Jon getting into character at first, the arrogance of Vega radiated off him, but it wasn't Vega Jon was playing, it was Sarah.
"If you want to change me, You'll have to fight me for this cute top!" Linda posed unconvincingly, but Jon was unmoved and ignored the assault.
" I mean think about it, if you want to cosplay, fine, fun, but why be Goku, lame. So 90-late." Jon walked passed the 40 year old woman in cute cloths which approximated a 90's anime character and into the closet full of cute clothes.
He came out with a cute jacket, skirt, and red top. "Here put these on, you'll look totally adorable I'm sure. Then we can do something about you hair."
Linda looked on. "Who am I supposed to be in this?"
"Amelia Pond, duh. And I'll be Doctor Who or whatever."
"Why can't I be the doctor too then?" Linda asked.
Jon rolled his eyes, "because you'll pull off this look so well! and Because I need a sidekick!" Only one of those reasons was true.
"Oh, ok."
Linda went and changed, but came out still barefooted. Jon was trying to mix and match something that looked both feminine and like Doctor Who. Jon turned to see his mother, looking every bit the model of Amelia Pond, had she been a 40 year old american housewife with brown hair.
"Hello Doctor!" She said in her best scottish accent.
Jon turned and looked. "No, it's all wrong. Here try these on." He took off the shoes.
There must be something for me to wear!!
