Doing that was a habit for them. From my tower, I could see them all one at a time. The others were all able to lay down and sleep in peace in the sun without a problem from others. Even Circles was fine on the wall. If anything was needed, they just hopped over him on their guard patrols of the perimeter. Meck was the only one that got attacked for just laying down. The Daot got some of his amphibious siblings to help him attack. A 5 on 1 assault then took place. Meck shifted in discomfort as they were able to chip a small bit of health away from him. He only grunted softly once. "Just go already, you dumb Ekans." the original Daot screamed. "Can't I just stay here? I'm not doing anything bad." Meck said. They just continued attacking until the sun went down. Meck then got up and left. He was there the next day as well. This went on for a few days until they got tired and abandoned the cause of driving Meck away. Eventually, after a day of failing to drive him off, Meck asked for his name. "I do not have to tell an invader that." he said. Meck said "Can you stop it and talk!? My name is Meck."

Even Meck was getting worked up from the abuse he was getting. Effective or not, he was being attacked and it did not make him feel good. The Daot looked at him and said "Fine. My name is Ribbi. You better not forget it! I will be the next mayor of this town one day." Meck looked at him and said "Why are you so angry at me? Can't we just be friends? I don't want to fight you." Ribbi scoffed. "You don't want to fight because you'd lose. I've been going easy on you because you're so weak and helpless." I almost laughed out loud when I heard that. Meck said "I can't help how tough my scales are. My father is the Sage. Can't you just let me lay down there?" Ribbi shook his head no. "I told you I'm going to conquer you, so that's what I'm going to do." he said decisively. Meck just huffed in distaste and turned his head away. He was done with the conversation. Ribbi was enraged and continued to go ballistic on Meck's back. Meck went to sleep for his nap and only woke up when the sun went down. "I am just going to ignore you if you don't want to play nice." Meck informed Ribbi as he left.

Finishing his final attack of the day, Ribbi said "Fine! I'll beat you and teach you what it means to be stronger." Meck just ignored him and came home. The next day was a bit different from all the others. Meck went to sleep near immediately. It meant that there was nothing that Ribbi could do to bother him. Ribbi tried everything he could, but nothing succeeded. Even trying to roll Meck over was pretty hard as he was too heavy and strong. Ribbi took a whole day of pushing and shoving before he could get even halfway to his goal. Meck would wake up and shift back in place before leaving for the day. That did not stop him from trying. After 3 days, he got a couple of his older, yellow Doat siblings to help him move Meck on his back. The scales on his tummy and underside were thinner and smoother than the rest. Together, the 3 of them got enough damage together to wake Meck up. There was a bit of tension when Meck hissed at them in surprise and anger. "What is going on!? Stop attacking me! It is not funny!" he snapped at them. Ribbi's 2 siblings both jumped in the water and left him.

It did not deter Ribbi one bit. "If you don't like it, you can just leave us alone. We don't want you here anyway." he said. Meck said "Shut up. I'm leaving for today, but I am definitely not letting you win now. You shouldn't be mayor of the town. I will stop you because you're way too mean." Ribbi scowled at him. Meck began to slither off when the siblings began to splash him from their safe position. That got him totally soaked. Meck then hurried home to the tower. I asked him why happened to him to see what he would say. He looked down and softly said that he slipped in the pond. The others mocked him. Meck looked just like normal, but his fists were balled. I was curious to see what he would do next. When Meck went next to the pond, the 3 siblings were waiting for him. The elder siblings smirked and then jumped into the pond. Meck rolled his eyes and laid down. Ribbi jumped on his back and looked down on him. "I am going to conquer you today, stupid Ekans!" he said. Meck looked up at him and said "If you say so. You have not been able to hurt me on your own." That was certainly true.
