As time went on, the town began to really come into its own. The raiding allowed the town to have goods to trade with those that came along the trade route. When the new Elitper and Daot children were old enough, they were also given gear and sent out to go adventure and raid. The main targets were the Tac tribes and the nomadic creatures that they could catch unaware. I kept my children out of it. They were too strong to be out there. It simply would not be fair if they encountered a Player or got into trouble and destroyed the balance of the area. That did not mean that I wanted them to be useless. I had them focus on mastering the enchanter and alchemy tables. As a group of level 570 Ekans, they were able to use their latent skill points to master them both easily. In fact, they could take any weapon, piece of armor, or a potion and make it mythic tier just by tinkering around for a bit. That would definitely come in handy if we needed to defend the town. Circles was the runt of the litter and was the worst at it. Even then, he had a surprising knack for potion making. It was good.

Being that they had nothing to do outside of using the enchanter and alchemy tables, they usually roamed around town and spent time sunning. The girls would chase all the boys off as they took the best spots outside the tower in a ring. I watched as the boys had to go other places. Mack and Muck really liked being together and would go sunbathe near the black Ynnub tribe. Circles decided to go to the wall. Others would not bother him as the need for guards on the walls was pretty low. Mick laid down near the red tribe. He was pretty docile and submissive, so they were not too threatened by his presence. Meck went to the pond where the Yellow tribe dwelled. Some of them did mind his presence. One that minded quite a bit was a young Daot. He got out of the water and saw him. Water trailed off his amphibious yellow body as he blinked in confusion. "Hey! What do you think you're doing here!?" he demanded. "Oh, I wanted to rest here. The sun is really nice in this part of the town." Meck said. In a flash, the Daot leapt in the air and did a flying kick to Meck's back. Meck barely felt it.

Completely ineffectual, the young Daot was taken aback. "Impossible! You should have felt that. I'm one of the best jumpers in the tribe!" he shouted. Even though Ekans were naturally the apex predators of the world, even they would be injured from such a powerful kick. Meck just meekly said "Sorry. My father is the Sage, so my scales are really tough. I'm really not that strong though. I promise." His scales were yellow with green and white diamonds patterns along his body. The meek response from him made the aggressor angry. "Who cares about that. My father is the mayor. My dad can beat your dad at any time. There's no way that I'll lose to you." he said before leaping into the air again. Once again, he landed with a thud on Meck. Meck just tanked it with no effort. That made the yellow boy even more mad. He then began to go into a rage, attacking over and over. Meck was stunned by the stubbornness and did not move. Normally, his sisters would squeeze him until he gave up and then tease him before letting him go. He was not getting hurt, so he was unsure of how to respond.

I watched from my seat in the tower as Meck got assaulted with the full wrath of the yellow Daot. At some point, Meck just put his head down and got back to relaxing in the sun's rays. It just made the attacks more frequent and fueled by rage. There was absolutely nothing to fear about it though. Nothing that he would do could possibly injure Meck. When the Daot got tired of leaping and launching kicks, he just began punching him on the back and the back of his head. Meck just sighed in frustration. It was totally understandable. Even he could get annoyed, and I would not blame him for counterattacking. "What even are you!? Why are you not even hurt yet? This isn't fair at all!" he yelled at him, each word being punctuated by a punch. "Stop hitting me please." Meck asked. The Daot glared at him for a moment and then sighed. "Fine then. Do what you want. But one day, I'm going to conquer you." he said before leaping back into the water. That allowed Meck to sunbathe there for a few hours before leaving his spot and returning to the tower. I was not gong to bring up what happened.
