Emily and Ashley were talking about an article someone had emailed them: Why did Men Stop Wearing High Heels?
The article talked about how high heels had been adopted originally in Europe by aristocratic men. At the same time, there was a craze in women's fashion for adopting elements of male dress.
A few years later, during the Enlightenment, men began to abandon jewelry, bright colors and such in favor of a more sober look.
But, now, that was all going to change. Men had never abandoned these things as a gender, instead held on to it tightly, and as a result, women's clothing had become more practical.
And this wouldn't work like a wish from the wishing stone. The changes would set in gradually, and the whole town would be aware. But, they would be powerless to stop the changes. After all, they happened 500 years ago.
