At lunch time, Kyla sat with Andy, Eric, and Mel...who all thought they had safety in numbers.
Kyla hadn't seen most of her friends that day. But that was hardly surprising considering that three of her friends were now complete strangers. She'd run into Tiffany Sanders, who was another cheerleader, but Kyla always found her a bit of a slut. Kyla had no problem with using her sex appeal as a tool, or having fun, but...
She spotted Jay sitting with his friend Randy across the cafeteria, and ignored them. She made it clear that she was flirting with all three of the boys, who weren't half bad. At least the three weren't losers. They were on the school's soccer team. Sure, it wasn't football, but...it was a sport. And she did like boys who played sports. The soccer team didn't get as much respect as the football or basketball teams. She seemed to remember they weren't doing well this season.
Maybe, with three new players, they were doing better. But she'd rather have her Jay back. He was big, strong, and easily manipulated...normally. And she knew she was smarter than he was, because he was always thinking with the brain in his shorts.
She faked a laugh at something Eric said. Apparently, there was a lot of that lower brain thinking going around.
