Fortunately, he knew his mom went to the same high school he had, even though she'd lived in a different part of town. He cursed himself again quietly for not paying attention.
Fortunately, Jenny seemed much more organized than he was, and had her class schedule taped into her notebook, and he apparently shared a lot of classes with his...Linda. He had to stop thinking of her as his mother. That could cause an embarrassing slip.
It was weird to see his mother the same age as Zoe, and looking so much like her. Linda was clearly still worried about him...or rather Jenny, but she seemed to be trying to pretend like it wasn't bothering her, talking about anything else.
It took a lot of Jon's concentration to keep up with the topics and pretend he knew about some of what she was talking about, while trying to take in everything else around him.
Aside from the change in clothing styles, it looked pretty much the same as he remembered it. School was school, he supposed.
