Finally fixed, Epsilon was back to his original strength. Lance Quaid then looked at me. "Are you here to accept the position of Sage?" he asked. I said "I will on 2 crucial conditions. I want some assurances here." He nodded and looked at me to tell him. "First, the area better be good. Not some frontier backwater. Second, Epsilon comes with me." I pulled Epsilon closer to me by the hip. He was surprised, but nodded. Lance Quaid crossed his arms and sighed. "Fine. It won't be the starting area, but it will be near an important dungeon. Your buddy can go with you if you like." That was fine with me and I signed up. He smiled and led the 2 of us to a portal. He then gave me a log with a description and the territory I would be a Sage for. "Everything you need to know starting out will be in the log. If you have any questions you can contact me directly using the directions at the bottom." The world was called Gevaris. The ancestors of the Humans on the world were taken to this world by hostile aliens. Due to a brutal mutiny, the ship crashed and they had to contend with the very hostile world.

It was the classic survival horror for the Players that wanted to start off as humans. It was also an adult themed server. It was adult because of the allowance for the default gore and sexual violence settings from all the NPCs. I had rigged my headset to list me as a 25 year old on all games I was playing. That was probably why I was given this position in the first place. I doubted they would normally place a minor there. FOG was based out of the US and subject to their laws. There were several other races besides standard humans that one could play as well. They were the Elitper, Ekans, Allirog, Daot, Tac, Ynnub, Livod, Diulf, Orcam. The other races were all hostile to the humans and they were considered demonic by humanity. The demonoids, as they were referred to in game, had a chemical in their blood called ichor that allowed them superior strength and speed. Humans could also get a mutation from too much contact with them. This came with several buffs and debuffs depending on the given mutation. That added to the horror aspect of this sub-world. You did not want a bad one.

Going down the racial descriptions, the Elitper were monstrous demonoids with resilient, armored bodies. They were able to contort in order to swiftly hunt prey or evade predators. Their endothermic ichor allows them to adapt to most climates. Ekans are serpentine demonoids that independently roam the world. They are vicious and hunt down prey aggressively in order to eat or take prisoners. While they have respect for stronger members of their race, they have fierce fights to discern the actual power differential. They were mutually hostile to the Allirog and Livod, who were their only rivals in terms of strength. The Livod were said to be descended from dragon like beasts. The humanoid looking race was strong and agile. They were good at manual labor and hunting. The Allirog were apeish herbivores and lived mainly in the lush jungles. They claimed turf through intimidation. Usually peaceful, they were extremely destructive if provoked. They seemed like a prime candidate of a race to not mess with if you were exploring. That would not be my concern unless I was stationed there.
