He looked at her, and lied. He'd never liked Nadine much anyway. It was easy enough to lie. "That was the person responsible. He moved everyone around again. He's toying with me. Steve is back to normal, but everyone else swapped again. I don't know where your mom is." He paused. "Wait...Steve was your Mom, and he turned back into himself. And the voice on the phone said everyone swapped again...so where's your Mom? Or who took her place?"
The fake Athena wasn't the same fake Athena who had been there before. But she should remember everything. "Mom, or whoever, was with us when we came up here," she said. "But she isn't here now."
