Jon knocked on Mikey's door.
A few seconds later, Mikey flung it open. "What do you want?" He asked. "Did Mom send you?"
"No," Jon insisted. "I just wanted to check on you. You two were fighting."
"Oh," Mikey said. He relaxed, but he still seemed to be in a foul mood. It may have been directed at their mother, but he certainly wasn't acting pleasant to Jon. He stood there silently.
"I was just hoping you and Mom would stop fighting," Jon said. "Look at Zoe and me, we don't always agree, but we never fight."
Mikey rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry I'm not as perfect as you and Zoe," he said, sarcastically. "Why don't you mind your own fucking business, Jon? Jeeze, you're almost as bad as Mom."
He was about to slam the door when they both heard sounds of a struggle downstairs.
