Humans were wearing power armor and wielding assault rifles. The hot head knocked on the glass and got their attention. Both the hot head and leader were smiling in anticipation. They came closer and used their radios. I did not understand what they were saying. "That's new. Take it!" the hothead said. The leader grunted in agreement. The 2 of them began to shimmer and a pure black version of the power armor appeared on them. I attempted the same thing and was surprised when it actually worked. We each also had a radio, but it was not functional. It seemed that we could copy forms and items using light, but not their function. I tapped against the hothead's power armor, and it was solid. I doubted that it had any of the benefits aside from stopping bullets. The humans did not look too happy about it. We watched them and eventually a woman in uniform and 5 guards appeared. The 2 on duty saluted her and stood at attention. She pulled out what looked like a vocalist's earpiece and a microphone. She turned it on and we could understand her words. The Blacks flinched.

She said "Hello, Staulirs. I am Dr. Wendy Greenblatt, chief engineering officer of the Lunar International Space Base. I am using modified technology from the Osans to communicate with you. State your purpose here." It was a warm, but authoritative voice. The hot head looked from me to the leader before asking what we should do. It was easy for me. "Let's be honest. We aren't doing anything wrong here." I said. The leader nodded and turned to the humans across the glass separations. The coupling was a short hallway that led to either side. They said "We want to look at you and what you have." She looked at us for a moment as I lifted the radio. Her eyes widened slightly. "Do you know what those small objects are?" she asked. I looked at the others. They did not know. We said so. She stepped closer and said "Can you give them to me? There should be a slot on that side to send it over to this side." I looked around and found it. I put mine in and so did the others. It went halfway in the hallway. She sent 2 of her guards to get it. These 5 guards were wearing full bodysuits.

Unlike what I would have thought, they seemed confident as they went into the hallway with a device. They scanned the radios with a device. They said something to the others and they took it back to the human side. She took one of them and tried to use it. It did not work. She opened the back with a screwdriver and it was only a shell. I suspected as much. She nodded and said "Not bad. Can all of you do this or is it only the Black variant of your species?" I looked at the others. "All of us can do it to varying degrees. Blacks have the least power." the leader said. She then hummed to herself. "I see. Do you 3 think you could bring a different colored variant here to try copying this device?" she asked. We immediately shook our heads. There was no way we could get them over. However, that was exactly when the 5 Indigos we beat in the series came. "What are you doing here in the human armor. You are not supposed to have physical contact with them. Researchers are the ones to talk. Warriors obey orders." one said. Dr. Wendy smiled. "Can you help our researchers? Copy this device."

Indigos were 3 times more powerful. "I just said we are not going to go over there." the Indigo said. "We were able to copy their things from here. I don't know if you could do as well as we did." I baited them. That made them all outraged. The stormed the glass to look at the radio and copied it. Dr. Wendy instructed them to put it in the slot and sent the guards to retrieve it. When she opened it, it was a shell with some random circuits shaking in there. I was amazed, but did my best to hide it. "See!? Indigos are better than Blacks in every way." one of them said. "Yeah! Know your place and fall in line." another chimed in. "Interesting. Do you have names?" "Only full Staulirs get distinguished names. As sub entities we are referred to as our color and youngling monikers." one of the Indigos explained. "Can I have all your youngling monikers then, or is that a secret?" she asked. The hot head said "Mine is Onyx Blaze." The leader was Pitch Gleam. I saw my youngling moniker was Void Flash. The others here were Indigo Glint, Glow, Shine, Beam and Flash. She wrote something down and left us.
