Astra woke quickly to the sound of a noise. Some kind of alarm?

It was pounding all the way into her antennas, as if it was designed to alert on an 'omni sense' level. It was practically vibrating to her bones. To her ears it sounded like a ringing of a huge spinning clockwork, rattling against a pin, screeching into her head. She floated over from the 'bedroom' of this complex, and into the main control room of this strange 'planet' and the wish-machine where her mother was taking the shift to keep an eye on Lucas.

Anneza was there working frantically at the controls. Finally it looked like she hit the right switch and the alarms died down.

"What happened?" Asked Astra quickly.

Anneza looked over. "It's the connection to Earth's internet.. it was lost."

"What?"

"It's...reconfiguring- yes- I think it's established a connection again... uh oh."

Astra looked wide eyed at the console. "Maybe we better... let Lucas know?"

Jenny had been watching in the distance as Artemis just stood there. Artemis had acted so very strange in the last couple of minutes. From the white-haired girl's perspective, Artemis simply stood on the side walk, and waited... concentrated for a while, as if staring at some invisible force..

Then that elder teenager appeared from thin air! She just... appeared there, without the force of magic. It was as if she had always been there, much as when Artemis appeared that first time they met. The elder girl was made of wisps of water and air... that took shape into a mostly sea blue with green hues on her face. Her hair in particular had strange shades of greyish white. It reminded one of beautiful clouds or mist, to darker black shades of a storm. She looked like she had just come out of a shower. There was such an ethereal beauty to her, it was breathtaking. She practically 'glowed'... and Jenny felt herself blushing when she realised the other girl was naked.

For a while Artemis and the elder teenager looked at each other, talking very quietly... Jenny strained to hear their conversation. Then the Earth-girl vanished.

"Don't!" Cried Artemis.

But it was too late.. the other girl was gone. Artemis felt tears well in her eyes.

Jenny reached out to comfort her. "What's wrong Artemis Who was that?"

"T-That w-was Gaia! Jenny! It was s-somone like me... like me!" She looked in quiet wonder. In all the times she had never encountered another like her. She was always alone in the way her own magic worked... until now. Now there was a planet-person... and it was Earth herself. Gaia... life- all life.

At this point, the two stumbled as there was a strange 'earthquake'. They looked up at the sky, as the Heavens seemed to subtly glow, then turn back to normal. It was brief, but everyone saw it... that strange flash of light... everywhere, as if reality itself just blinked out for a second. Much like the change of a channel on the television.

Jenny was obviously scared by what looked like a possible cataclysm... but it was Artemis who had the shock and awe of the situation more so, as she watched Earth from the moon's perspective. She saw the Earth fading entirely, and the moon had to 'latch on' for the ride. easily done, as Artemis was 'on the earth'...

Things seem to 'stabilise', for the duel planetoid system...

"What... just happened Artemis?" whispered Jenny.

Artemis swallowed. "Gaia... she travelled to some 'other universe.'... but because she 'is' the Earth..."

"...she brought the Earth with her," said Jenny tensely.

Looking up they saw an entire sky... filled with Iridescent stars.

Along with the one strange 'normal' sun, of the Earth.
